# API_KEY_INACTIVE

> API key is inactive (401)

The API key exists but has been switched off.

| Status | Retryable | Title |
| - | - | - |
| `401` | No | API key is inactive |

## Common causes

* A suspension of your organization deactivated its keys.

## What to do

Generate a new API key in the dashboard; reactivating the account doesn't restore the old one.
